Welcome to Courthouse Christian Preschool and Afterschool!
When I reflect on our school, I think one of the things that makes us so unique is our feeling of and sense of community. Every child who comes through our doors is quickly welcomed into our school family, both within the classroom and in the larger school as a whole. One of my favorite times of day is when school starts and, along with our fine arts teacher Julie Riegle, I get to greet each little face that enters our building. The excitement and fantastic stories we are treated to each morning just make our day! Similarly, we want parents and siblings to feel welcome as well. The beginning of school lends itself to all sorts of parent and teacher meetings, including an orientation and a curriculum night. However, I think I speak for our staff when I say our favorite times are the events during the year that we invite our families in for special days. Our Thanksgiving Feast, the Christmas Program, our shared Pastries for Parents, Family Fun Day, and our End of the Year program are all events we look forward to. The opportunity to build relationships with our families is so important to us! One of the biggest blessings our school shares, however, is the fact that we are a ministry of Courthouse Community United Methodist Church. We share a weekly chapel with our children, and actively engage all of our children in regular outreach projects. We want even our youngest to know they can be the hands and feet of Jesus, and make a difference to many. Pastor Beth Anderson often joins us in chapel, sharing her genuine excitement and love of the Lord! Pastor Beth also offers a group called Second Cup of Coffee, which meets on Wednesday mornings after drop-off, for all preschool parents who would like to enjoy a bit of fellowship (and great coffee!). CCPA works closely with the church to keep our families aware of what is going on at Courthouse Community UMC, and our families are always welcome to join in worship at any time. We hope that if you are looking for a school with a strong sense of community, kindness, love, and belonging, you will consider us. You are welcome here.
